Thank you to Pandora Premium for sponsoring this episode. Listen Now at http://pdora.co/2sdJra5 More Celebrity News ►► http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews Kylie and Kendall Jenner have apologized for their offensive and expensive vintage t-shirt collection. Today’s episode of News Feed is brought to you by Pandora Premium, where you can search and play your favorite songs. Pandora: sounds like you. But that doesn’t mean the controversy is over. Yesterday Kendall and Kylie’s clothing collection was under fire for their new line of vintage tees priced at $125 each. The limited edition t-shirts featured their faces superimposed on iconic rockstars, hip hop artists, and bands such as Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Tupac, and The Notorious BIG. The sisters faced intense backlash online from fans who cited racism, insensitivity, and more. Kendall and Kylie have now apologized for the tees, both shared the same letter on Twitter writing, “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. Thee tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed.” The message concluded admitting they will take this opportunity to learn from their mistake. The Jenner sister’s apology comes on the heels of The Notorious BIG’s Mom Voletta Wallace slamming the girls on Instagram writing, “The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt.” Voletta also told PEOPLE magazine in a statement, “We appreciate that the Jenners have made an apology and pull the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved.” So does anyone else smell a lawsuit coming? Michael Jackson’s daughter and Kendall’s pal Paris Jackson is also getting in on the controversy. The model took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the tees, “These bands literally helped shape who I am today. I can’t condone this “Fashion”.” Paris followed that up with, “led zeppelin is not michael kors. Metallica is not givenchy. Don’t get it twisted. #bandsnotbrands #RESPECTMUSIC”. So do you guys think that Kendall and Kylie should do MORE than just apologize for the offensive shirts? Also tell us below if you’re outraged by this or if you think people are being overdramatic?
